Now this is something that has acquired quite the cult following. Chances are if you are a Disney fan, you already know about this desert, as it’s quite possibly the most popular item found at the Disney theme parks, hell there’s even a podcast named after it! One of the things that makes this dessert so desirable is the fact that’s it’s only available in three locations; Disneyland, Magic Kingdom’s Adventure Land, and the Polynesian resort.
So what is a Dole Whip? A Dole Whip is a pineapple flavoured soft serve, and it’s definitely worth the fuss. You can get it either in a cup, or as a float with pineapple juice. On a hot Florida/California day, this desert is the perfect treat to keep you cool, and to relax with. While it is a treat found at Disneyland and Disney World, it’s not an exclusive item. Dole also sells their whip at some regional theme parks and a few restaurants. But holding on to the idea that this magical desert is only found at Disney makes it feel a little more special.
While the Dole Whip is perfect to keep to yourself, I for one felt the size was a little too large for one person, and found myself slugging through the last third. If you have a sweet tooth though, I recommend defending your Dole Whip from attack spoons from the others in your party.
All in all, this is definitely something worth checking out, and the sweet, light and refreshing taste makes your senses call for another whenever you enter the park. But don’t worry at only 90 calories it’s probably one of the healthiest theme park addictions.
